26West is a 5-storey wood-framed residential building with 40 units. Located in the Upper Lonsdale neighbourhood of North Vancouver, this modern structure showcases a stunning architectural design featuring glass, metal, and wood accents. 26West offers a unique mix of rental and owned units in an amenity rich location which is minutes away from lush hiking and biking trails and with easy accessibility to both the Seabus and ferries.
BCBS was an integral part of the team during the new construction of this development. Our expertise contributed to the successful completion of this exciting project through building envelope consulting services. This approach first included establishing the basis of design for the building envelope. During the construction phase, we performed ongoing field reviews and provided field testing of key envelope components as the testing agency. Envelope field testing included the necessary quality assurance field tests to ensure optimal functionality such as testing a sampling of windows and doors as well as conducting whole building airtightness testing to ensure compliance with energy efficiency targets.
