BC Building Science was retained by Kelland Foods Holding as the Building Envelope Consultant for Harewood Quality Foods. Located at 867 Bruce Ave. in Nanaimo, Harewood Quality Foods is a 50,000 square foot two-storey steel framed and concrete structure constructed over a below-grade cast-in-place concrete foundation.
The new Harewood Quality Foods tripled the size of the previous Quality Foods. It offers a deli, bakery, floral shop, sushi bar, meat department set up to smoke meat on-site, and two cafeterias with outdoor patios. It also has a pub, gift shop, and conference room.
