Located in Port Coquitlam, BC., Kew Lifestyles at Montrose is a 5-storey wood-framed residential building containing 56 units for the 55+ community. This modern complex has been designed to seamlessly blend with downtown Port Coquitlam’s heritage aesthetic, utilizing the style of classic brick and an era appropriate colour palette.
BCBS was an integral part of the team during the new construction of this development. Our expertise contributed to the successful completion of this exciting project through building envelope consulting services. This approach first included establishing the basis of design for the building envelope. During the construction phase, we performed ongoing field reviews and provided field testing of key envelope components as the testing agency. Envelope field testing included the necessary quality assurance field tests to ensure optimal functionality such as testing a sampling of windows and doors as well as conducting whole building airtightness testing to ensure compliance with energy efficiency targets.
