Kinship Housing Co-operative is a 6-storey wood-framed residential building with 140 units. Located in south Vancouver’s new and trendsetting River District, these modern residences are part of the Vancouver Affordable Housing Agency initiative geared to low- and moderate-income households. This new development is only a short walk to the shore of the Fraser River and is steps away from a progressive neighbourhood offering shops, services, and nearby greenspaces.
BCBS was an integral part of the team during the new construction of this development. Our expertise contributed to the successful completion of this exciting project through building envelope consulting services. This approach first included establishing the basis of design for the building envelope. During the construction phase, we performed ongoing field reviews and provided field testing of key envelope components as the testing agency.
