BC Building Science was retained by the Owners of Parkview Place as the Building Envelope Consultant for a targeted building envelope renovation at their buildings. Parkview Place is located at 240 West 16th Street, North Vancouver. It is comprised of three multi-storey townhouse buildings, which contain sixteen townhouse units. The buildings are wood-frame construction with reinforced concrete footings and slab on-grade.
BCBS and the Strata developed an architectural design strategy to upgrade and replace all the buildings’ original windows and doors. The new windows are reinforced PVC frame windows with energy efficient, Low E glazing, and included upgraded hardware, insect screens, trims, and new flashings.
