Shannon Estate

The Gate House, Coach House, and Mansion form the heritage component of the Shannon Mews Development, managed by Wall Financial.  These three buildings were the original buildings on the Shannon Estate located in South Granville in Vancouver. These buildings were restored with strict adherence to heritage guidelines to honor and appreciate the original design.  BC Building Science was the Building Envelope Professional from the schematic design through to post construction.  Services included:

• analysis of existing envelope systems
• technical review of heritage drawings, shop drawings, product literature
• on-site field review of construction including below grade, glazing, and roofing
• water penetration diagnostic testing of the heritage windows and doors to identify potential weaknesses
• deficiency reviews and the end of the construction period
• building envelope maintenance manual
