SAFETY FIRST! BC BUILDING SCIENCE TAKES ON ASBESTOS!

May 29th, 2024

By: BC Building Science

Whether it be during a structural renovation, conducting a Structural Condition Review, or after a devastating fire, if the presence of asbestos in a building is suspected, the specialists at BCBS will enter the premises with great caution, advance preparation, and fully outfitted to prevent dangerous exposure.  In addition, BCBS also coordinates for hazardous materials testing on our projects as required.

Asbestos fibers, when inhaled, can cause severe respiratory illnesses, and asbestos contamination can be widespread throughout a property, affecting air, water, and soil quality.  Taking the proper precautions ensures that asbestos is responsibly managed and contained, minimizing both the environmental hazards and risk to personal safety.  Our team is ready to investigate your property thoroughly and safely and will be protected from head to toe in cutting edge PPE!
