WHEN CONDITIONS GET STORMY, BCBS CAN CHART YOUR COURSE!

February 23rd, 2024

By: BC Building Science

On a particular day, anywhere along the west coast, you can witness various weather systems tracking across the sky, and sometimes you’ll be fortunate enough to bask in the sunshine for an extended period before a cloud appears and darkness fills its centre.  The waves that you heard earlier, gently lapping at the shore, will gain a rhythmic force which builds as the light fades.  Your thoughts will transition from ones of warmth and light to images of water, soft at first but gaining momentum.  Intuition tells you its time to take cover, pause, and the cycle begins again.

Buildings, much like the weather, are subject to changes.  Sometimes they occur in a predictable pattern, but other times these shifts are unexpected.  BC Building Science offers numerous services and testing to take the guesswork out of what is, and what may be, around the corner.  If you’ve experienced any type of moisture ingress, or are afraid it may be coming, feel free to contact one of our specialists to discuss what we can do to help!

‘From design and construction to repairs and renewals, we apply fluid thinking to enhance building envelope durability, energy efficiency, and asset value throughout a building’s entire lifespan.’
