BUILDING ENVELOPE CONSULTANT – Victoria

BC Building Science seeks a Building Envelope Consultant to join our successful team in Victoria – Vancouver Island. The primary role involves field review and testing services for new construction and renovation projects.

What we expect from you:

  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in building envelope or construction technology preferred.
  • Minimum one year of building envelope related experience.
  • Experience with local constructions methods and materials.
  • Ability to work independently and on-site at client locations.
  • Skilled in technical writing and have excellent communication skills – written and oral.
  • Be an intelligent creative thinker with high attention to detail.

What you are going to do:

  • Review building envelope aspects of the construction of new buildings and renovation of existing buildings.
  • Provide enhanced  field review, and field performance testing services.
  • Provide building envelope commissioning services.
  • Collaborate with the energy and commissioning services team; and
  • Communicate and correspondence with related parties including Developers, Contractors, and Architects.

 

Salary range: $50,000 – 70,000 annually.
