BUILDING ENVELOPE CONSULTANT

What we are looking for:

BC Building Science is looking for an experienced Technologist or Engineer to join our successful team and lead our new office in Kelowna.  The main role involves project management of building envelope field and design review services for new construction and existing buildings in Kelowna.

 

What we expect from you:

  • Diploma in building envelope technology or bachelor’s degree in engineering.
  • Minimum two-years experience in project management and / or leadership.
  • Minimum five-years experience with local construction methods and materials.
  • Skilled in technical writing and have excellent communication skills – written and oral.
  • Excellent team player.
  • Creative thinker with high attention to detail.

 

What you are going to do:

  • Work independently, handle the coordination of multiple ongoing projects, and act as the main point of contact for the parties involved.
  • Review building envelope aspects of the construction of new buildings and renovation of existing buildings.
  • Provide enhanced field review, design review, and field performance testing services.
  • Maintain communication and correspondence with related parties including Developers, Contractors, and Architects.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Salary: $52,000 – $85,000.00 per year
