BUILDING ENVELOPE CONSULTANT- EIT

What we are looking for:

BC Building Science seeks a Building Envelope Consultant- EIT to join our successful team.  The main role involves field review services for new construction.

 

What we expect from you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering. Master’s degree in building science preferred.
  • Be registered, or eligible for registration, as an engineer-in-training (EIT) in BC.
  • Minimum one-year of building envelope experience.
  • Experience with local construction methods and materials.
  • Interest in rope access certification would be considered an asset.
  • Skilled in technical writing and have excellent communication skills – written and oral.
  • Excellent team player.
  • Creative thinker with high attention to detail.

 

What you are going to do:

  • Review building envelope aspects of the construction of new buildings.
  • Provide enhanced field review, and field performance testing services.
  • Collaborate with the energy and commissioning services team.
  • Maintain communication and correspondence with related parties including Developers, Contractors,

and Architects.

  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Salary range: $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
