BUILDING SCIENCE/BUILDING ENVELOPE ENGINEER (EIT)

What we are looking for:

BC Building Science is looking for a Building Envelope professional to join our successful team.  The main role involves building envelope design and field review services for new construction. The Building Envelope Consultant will be supervised by a Professional Engineer.

What we expect from you:

  • Degree or diploma in building science or engineering.
  • Minimum one-year building envelope experience preferred.
  • Experience with local constructions methods and materials.
  • Knowledgeable in the field of building science and building envelope design.
  • Be an intelligent creative thinker with high attention to detail.
  • Skilled in technical writing and have excellent communication skills – written and oral.
  • Creative thinker with high attention to detail.

 

What you are going to do:

  • Review building envelope aspects of the construction of new buildings.
  • Provide enhanced design review, field review, and field performance testing services.
  • Collaborate with the energy and commissioning services team.
  • Maintain communication and correspondence with related parties including Developers, Contractors, and Architects.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
